Join Aaron Shneyer, Founder and Executive Director of Heartbeat, for an intimate concert and conversation on the role of music to transform conflict. Aaron, an accomplished musician and educator, founded Heartbeat in 2007 through an MTVu-Fulbright Program grant. Heartbeat unites Israeli and Palestinian Youth Musicians to build critical understanding, develop creative nonviolent tools for social change, and amplify their voices to influence the world around them.
Food and Drinks will be provided and a suggested donation of $25 dollars is asked, which may be paid now after RSVP-ing below or at the door. No one will be turned away for financial reasons.
All proceeds from the night's event will go towards Heartbeat programs which are over 95% scholarship based, ensuring that money isn’t an added obstacle to bringing Heartbeat participants together. Whether covering transportation, food, recording equipment, rehearsal spaces, retreat accommodations, or very minimal staff salaries, your support enables Heartbeat to keep its programs going and growing.
Aaron will be joined by trombone player Mosche Snowden.
